Auto Transport News and Knowledge

Car Shipping to Puerto Rico Will be Easier
Professional auto transport is a time consuming task that requires you have access to instant information on the transport roads and highways of the United States of America at your fingertips. In Dallas the other day, Cobra Electronics announced the arrival of the 7750 Platinum, a new 7-inch navigation unit specifically designed for the needs of the professional drivers of America. Featuring enhanced graphics and Junction View with Lane Assist to keep you on the right track, the 7750 Platinum also comes with a State Mileage Log and Hours of Service Log, and the best last-mile routing to provide professional drivers with superior street coverage of secondary transport routes.

Cobra Electronics 7750 Platinum also includes Quick-Tabs that allow users to access critical data on things like the distance to weight stations on your route, the travel centers and rest areas you can stop at during your vehicle transport, and improved visibility when scrolling across the screen or using the features of the unit. Junction View with Lane Assist calls up 3D images of the highway junctions along your route, provides you with information on the best lane to take, and enhanced turn-by-turn information.

Professional car transport drivers that want to check out the new 7750 Platinum by Cobra Electronics can do so at the upcoming Great American Trucking Show slated for August 26-28 in Dallas. Cobra Electronics will be at booth No. 16074, so stop by and take a look at the latest in navigational aids for professional drivers, and talk and have fun with other transport professionals and the thousands of truck lovers that will be on hand for this event. This could be your chance to unwind, maybe enter your truck in the content, or possibly make a few more connections in the transport industry.

Aerodynamic Devices & the American Car Transporter
The use of aerodynamic devices on American transport vehicles is one way firms are keeping their business costs down, which helps them reduce the car shipping prices customers pay for the vehicles they need transported to destinations around the United States of America. One American firm recently announced the installation of Freight Wing Aeroflex side skirts on their fleet in July, which according to sources is being partially funded through a $875,972 grant provided by a cost-sharing program with the United States Environmental Agency's Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA). Sources also indicate that the American transport firm in question will be working with the Pacific Northwest Pollution Prevention Resource Center in this plan to reduce the carbon wheel-print of the firm in question and the transport industry of America in general.

This is obvious great news for the transport firm in question and the car shipping industry of the United States of America is general. The installation of Freight Wing Aeroflex side skirts on their trucks should allow the transport firm in question to reduce the carbon wheel-print of their business operations and might even allow them to find more customers that need transport services in the future. We'll have to wait-and-see what the results are for this American transport firm and their installation of aerodynamic skirts on their trucks, but considering the results being reported by other firms that have started using similar aerodynamic side skirts designed to reduce the amount of fuel trucks are using, we should probably expect to hear more good news in the days ahead in the century of the environment concerning the fleet operations of the company in question.

Customers that need to ship cars to destinations around America are probably reading this and wondering when we'll hear about similar news in relation to a firm in the business of transporting vehicles in the United States? This news is probably just down the road a bit and it certainly wouldn't be a surprise to see this happen in the near future.

Networkfleet Helps Auto Shipping Firms
Americian car shipping firms providing transport services for customers that need to ship vehicles to destinations around the United States of America looking for ways to decrease the inherent costs of its wireless fleet management solutions might want to take a look at the latest announcement by Networkfleet. Networkfleet recently announced they were offering a new pricing structure for their products, which includes an upfront payment structure for the company's GPS tracking systems. Apparently, customers now have the option of a monthly rate combining the cost of a GPS tracking device, the installation of the equipment, and the monthly services the firm normally provides.

Networkfleet believes that this announcement is going to make their products more attractive for American firms car shipping to Puerto Rico and around the United States in the months and years ahead in the century of the environment. They also believe that American firms will be able to immediately reap the benefits of transport vehicle GPS tracking, which according to Networkfleet can include lower fuel and maintenance costs for fleet operations and improved utilization of your transport vehicles.

Networkfleet is offering this new pricing structure with their Networkfleet 4200 and Networkfleet 3500 GPS tracking systems and both these systems provide customers that need to ship cars to destination with impressive features, according to Networkfleet. Networkfleet 3500 uses GPS fleet tracking and patented remote engine diagnostics to give firms a clear picture of their vehicle operations, while Networkfleet 4200 is designed to be implemented by fleets that don't need the full engine diagnostics features of Networkfleet 3500.

New Medium-Duty Auto Shipping Tire
Auto shipping to Canada on Continental's new medium-duty HSR2 Eco Plus truck tires promises to be a more profitable business, if the latest reports about this truck tire are true? American car hauling firms that need to ship vehicles to Canada for customers could find Continental's new HSR2 Eco Plus truck tires provide their fleet operations with about 3 percent better fuel economy compared to Continental's current HSR2 truck tire, according to the tire engineers at Continental. In fact, scientists conducting the tests on these new tires indicated that during tests these new medium-duty truck tires showed a 15 percent increase in rolling resistance, and they also believe this truck tire will show better fuel efficiency than a comparable long-haul truck tire.

Tire engineers indicate that this new HSR2 Eco Plus truck tire implements a four rib tread design that during tests showed significant benefits for the rolling resistance of this truck tire. Engineers also indicate that under ideal conditions the best truck tire would be designed with no ribs at all, but that this was not possible with current tire science. Engineers did include a protective curb rib for high-scrub applications, patented groove geometry to reduce cracking and tearing during car transport, and the VAI+ visual alignment indicator system to indicate the tires tread depth, with the new HSR2 Eco Plus truck tire.

The new HSR2 Eco Plus medium-duty truck tire has been verified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency's SmartWay Transport Partnership as a low-rolling-resistance truck tire and according to sources at Continental is aimed squarely at the regional transport service industry. If you're looking for a new truck tire for your vehicle transport, take a look at Continental's new HSR2 Eco Plus truck tire, and you might find that these truck tires are just the thing you have been dreaming about in a new truck tire?
